I’m delighted to be shortlisted among some great nominees for the Irish Law Awards 2017. I’ve been selected as a Finalist for Leinster Provincial Solicitor of the Year and for Family Law Team/Lawyer of the Year, and it means more than I can say to receive this kind of recognition from my peers.
The panel who select the shortlisted finalists is made up mainly of members of the profession, and those who work with the legal profession.
It means a huge amount to me naturally to be selected, but most especially to be selected in the category of family law and mediation, to which I have dedicated so many years. I’m grateful that I still have the same level of passion and enthusiasm for this work today. I think this is largely because I see the constant hard legal work and lobbying for families and children is paying off in some small way. Being shortlisted will hopefully add a bit of extra volume to my voice in the future!
Now in their 6th year, these awards aim to identify, honour, and publicise outstanding achievements, while also recognising those who have dedicated their lives to serving in the legal profession. This annual event is designed to recognise excellence in the legal profession of Ireland, commending the achievements of lawyers.
The judging panel for the AIB Private Banking Irish Law Awards is chaired by notary public and solicitor, Dr. Eamonn G. Hall. The awards’ judging panel review each submission in the context of the criteria for each category. The Awards will take place on Friday May 12th with a black-tie gala evening ceremony hosted by Miriam O’Callaghan, in the Clayton Hotel Burlington Road, Dublin 4.
